The September Issue? Yep! To That We Say....HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FASHIONED!

Hey there, world!!

Happy Fall...well, kinda! I write to you today from SoCal, where the heat index tonight (or should I say the first minute of the morning) sits at a solid 71 degrees; No budging. No air. No wind. Just warm. Hopefully you are experiencing something much cooler!

Okay, so back to fashion. We told the rest of the world, but didn't tell you that our September Issue, or Fall issue, Back-to-School Issue or our Happy Anniversary issue has been released! Full of Fall and all-things-plum and maroon, boys, trends, finding love and MORE, our staff agrees, this is our BEST yet! :) Not only that, we have the honor of having the beautiful Kalan Jackson (KJ), our September "It Girl," not only on the cover, but sharing her heart, and her journey of how she became who she is today.

So what? So a recap. And in a nutshell, here it is: From me to our readers, I was heartbroken not to be at ANY of the shows at NYFW this year, but was so thankful for technology as I watched the beautiful lines of Tory Burch, Bibhu Mohapatra's sexy, yet classy line, Naeem Khan with his delicate and feminine pieces with such precision and detail, the playful patterns and colors of Libertine and don't even get me started on Neiman's ROSIE ASSOULIN SS17 Collection! All that was missing was the sand beneath my feet--and a beach hat, of course (thank you for taking us ALL to MA, Tory)!! We still manage to chat it up about NYFW on our YouTube channel (have you subscribed yet)? Do it! So September, eh...? Here. We. Are.

Back to our recap. Take the necessary preparations to get back in the grind of school (Couture Corner); "Never ever let yourself speak defeat, even if it looks like you're defeated (Kalan Gets Real); Reasons Why We Love Fall (I mean, even if we didn't feature this, isn't it obvious?!?), and Brittany Treglia shares on what she loves about the trendy neck pieces in the "The Winning Piece". One of what I most enjoyed was reading about what boys like...I mean, because contrary to that The Waitress' catchy ssong of the 80's, it isn't obvious what boys like. Why? Because we've been looking at the wrong guys! Speaking of boys, we got to get a word in with Dr. Shanda Smith, author of "Finding Love in All the Wrong Places" (available on Amazon and her website, of course). Now with school, organization is KEY and so Jennifer Vargas' article definitely helps to get you organized, with an ever-so-cute and chic flair! We of course, covered some of what's trending now and then last but most certainly NOT least, we celebrated our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! What do we say to that? Happy Birthday, Fashioned! You have been adorable with all of your crawling and toddling from side to side in your new life as you know it. We celebrate what you've done in just a year, and look forward to many, many more!
