Benefits of Walking

Walking is a great exercise for beginners who are looking to add daily exercise to their routines, and for those of us, " Gonna start tomorrow" Sayers-- going outside for 30 min walk is a great and easy way to start. Plus there are tons of benefits to walk daily, here are a few:
  • Increase bone density and balance
Walking daily can help reduce hip fractures and injuries related to falls.
  • Boost metabolism and energy
Need I say more. If you want to lose weight and keep it off having a high metabolism is a huge factor.
  • Aid recovery
Walking after workouts gives your body the proper time it needs to recover and rest.
  • Improve your mood
I'm sure you've heard the expression stepping out to get some fresh air. Fresh air helps people get through lots of feelings such as anger, hurt, confusion, happiness or even if your just burning up.
  • Strengthen heart
Walking consistently can help to lower your blood pressure and prevent heart disease.
  • Tone your legs
Walking can strengthen the muscles in your legs.
  • Reduce stress
Getting outside can help to clear your mind and distract you from current problems.
  • Creative Thinking
While it also clears your mind from stress it can help you think creatively. Especially if you walk and talk with colleagues, family or friends.


While walking keep these tips in mind to keep safe:
Wear good shoes, loose and comfortable clothing. Drink plenty of water, wear sunscreen if walking during the day. Walk in well lit areas. Also don't forget your facemask!
