When your feeling sad...

There is a list of things that can make anyone sad at any point in time... Failing a test, losing a friend, gaining weight when you should be losing, bad breakup, Etc. Etc. Etc.  Here are some great ideas to help you when your feeling down...

  1. Write down your feelings
  2. Take a nap
  3. Listen to happy songs
  4. Smile at yourself in the mirror
  5. Watch something funny ( TV show, Movie, YouTube)
  6. Call up a friend (Someone you trust)
  7. Put on an outfit you love and go out
  8. Write yourself a love letter
  9. Treat yourself ( Big dinner, Spa, Staycation)
  10. Drink some hot tea
  11. Create something
  12. Read a book
  13. Buy fresh flowers
  14. Look at the bigger picture
  15. Take a walk
 Always remind yourself that like every other feeling before it, this one will pass too. These ideas are just a few things that can help for a moment. Mental health is a huge issue we have in the world, it is important to understand what is going on in your life and if you are noticing daily patterns that are not normal for you. Sometimes we don't even realize how bad things may have gotten, that's why it is vital to say something. Whether you talk to a trusted friend, co-worker or even someone anonomous, your feelings are valued and important.
