Managing your Stress Levels

Stress is something adults, kids, and even animals deal with. It takes the literal meaning of something that can either make you or break you. Good stress is something that pushes you to the finish line or keeps you on track, bad or uncontrolled stress can lead to mental and physical illness. Finding a way to manage any stress can seem impossible, but these are some tips I have used to help me!

  • Find the source of your stress.
It is important to take some time an identity what causes you stress. change any potential triggers regardless of what it may be...
  • Exercise
  • Slow down
  • Take a break
  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol
  • Get more sleep
Sometimes we just need a nap to clear our minds so we can refocus, regroup and feel reenergized.
  • Talk to someone
  • Manage your time, learn to say " No!"
This one is hard for but as an adult, we have to learn that there are some things that are more important, at the moment, then going to dinner, a game or even Disneyland.
  • Go easy on yourself
  • Eliminate triggers
  • List some solutions and come up with a plan.
Sometimes our the biggest stress factor is that we have too many things to do and don't know what to start. Writing things down helps to figure out which is more important and has a due date approaches.
  • Accept things you cannot control.
  • Pick up a hobby ( Old or New)
  • Make self care a priority.
This means keeping your body and mind healthy. If you are starting to not feel like yourself, you need to stop what you're doing and say something or go get help.

Stress, unfortunately, is unavoidable we all go through it, but hopefully, these tips help you get through it!
