How to Deal With Dry Skin in the Fall

If you are someone who suffers with dry skin, you’re likely not looking forward to the seasons changing. Fall is a season that creeps up on you and all of a sudden your wearing jackets, boots, beanies and your skin is seriously drying out. You can easily develop rough, dry, and itchy skin during the colder months when your skin is exposed to cold, dry air and harsh winds. As someone who suffers from dry skin every fall and winter, I can testify-- it does feel very uncomfortable and sometimes it looks even worse than it really is. So here are some tips to help you keep your skin moisturized and looking great.

  1. Wash with lukewarm water.
  2. Don't spend too much time in hot baths or showers
  3. Hydrate your diet
  4. Get a humidifier
  5. Moisturize shortly after washing
  6. Avoid wearing wool
  7. Steer clear of drugstore make-up remover wipes
  8. Exfoliate twice a week
  9. Use hydrating masks in the fall
  10. Keep hand cream in convenient locations

So there you have it these are my favorite tips to prep and maintain our skin for the autumn season, but perhaps you have your own tips. How do you keep your skin healthy and hydrated during the fall?
